Joshua R. Marques

Joshua R. Marques was born and raised in Chalmette, Louisiana but relocated to Slidell after Hurricane Katrina. He majored in Criminal Justice with a minor in Law at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is a proud Cajun graduate.

In 2023, Josh studied law and attained his Juris Doctor at Southern University Law Center where he finished fourth in his class. Throughout law school, he received CALI awards, which acknowledges earning the highest grade in the class, four times. Additionally, Josh was awarded Law Center Merit Scholarship for finishing in the Top 5% of his graduating class.

Before joining the firm, Josh gained work experience through a judicial clerkship in the 27th J.D.C. Now, as an attorney at Broussard, David, and Moroux, he is living out his passion for obtaining justice and helping people recover from life-changing losses.

Josh is currently active in the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Lafayette Bar Association, Young Lawyers Section, as well, a junior member of the Louisiana State Law Institute.

Outside of the office, Josh enjoys spending quality time with his family, spending time outdoors, and supporting his favorite Louisiana sports teams.
