Blake R. David Was Appointed To The LSLI Council As a Practicing Attorney

LAFAYETTE, LA, January 10, 2023 – Blake R. David, founding partner at Broussard, David & Moroux Personal Injury Firm, was appointed to the Louisiana State Law Institute (LSLI) Council as a practicing attorney—one of eleven elected members representing the Bar on the committee.

The Legislature’s stated purpose of the LSLI is to promote and encourage the clarification and simplification of the law of Louisiana and its better adaptation to present social needs; to secure the better administration of justice and to carry on scholarly legal research and scientific legal work.

David relayed upon his appointment, “What an honor to be chosen to serve alongside esteemed judges, legendry law professors, and respected members of the bar to help Louisiana to shape its laws for the betterment of our citizenry.”

Blake is a Board-Certified attorney at his Lafayette firm, focusing on personal injury and wrongful death litigation with an emphasis on offshore/maritime, trucking accidents, aviation, products liability, industrial accidents and automobile claims. In 2023, Blake received two multi-million-dollar jury verdicts in back-to-back weeks and was included on the Louisiana Super Lawyers list of TOP 50 lawyers in the state for the fifth year in a row. He is a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, International Society of Barristers, is the Past President of the Louisiana Association for Justice, Lafayette Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association (Lafayette Chapter).

Outside of the firm, Blake serves as the past chair of the Louisiana Board of Regents and is on the Executive Committee. He also sits on various Acadiana community committees, including Lafayette Economic Development Authority and the First Horizon Bank Advisory Board.
