Blair Berthelot Alford was raised in Covington, Louisiana, where she attended St. Scholastica Academy high school. She is a proud graduate of Louisiana State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, and of Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Blair is currently a managing attorney at the firm’s Covington and New Orleans locations and focuses her practice on personal injury, property damage, and wrongful death.
Blair comes to Broussard, David, & Moroux, as an experienced trial attorney. She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Orleans Parish where she spent five years prosecuting numerous high-profile cases and served as a special prosecutor in the Major Offense Unit. In 2012, she was the recipient of the Victims and Citizens Against Crime Outstanding Prosecutor Award.
Blair went on to serve as an Assistant Attorney General litigating cases throughout Louisiana. In 2014 she accepted a position as a prosecutor in Tangipahoa Parish and in 2016 was the recipient of the Crimefighters Award for Outstanding Work as a Prosecutor. From there, Blair returned to Covington serving as an Assistant District Attorney in St. Tammany and Washington Parishes. Having extensive jury trial experience and having successfully prosecuted a variety of complex cases, Blair was assigned as a special prosecutor handling career criminal and major offense cases.
Blair is a licensed attorney in Louisiana’s federal and state courts, and a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice and the Louisiana State Bar Association. Blair lives in Covington with her husband, John, and their four children.
