Emily C. Borgen was raised in New York but has been proud to call Lafayette home for over ten years. Her practice focuses on serious personal injury and wrongful death cases arising from offshore accidents, 18-wheeler accidents, automobile accidents, industrial accidents, and premises defects. Prior to joining the firm Borgen spent time in both personal injury and defense practices.
Emily earned a B.A. cum laude from New York University, where she studied political science and slavic studies. She earned her J.D. cum laude from Duke University School of Law. At Duke, Emily served as the Articles Editor for the Duke Law Journal. After law school, Emily clerked for the Honorable W. Eugene Davis of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Emily has been recognized by Louisiana Super Lawyers as a Rising Star.Her professional associations include the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, the Lafayette Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court. Emily lives in Lafayette with her wife, Alyce, and their two sons.
